Leonora - Walter F. Brown Asian Art Wing - San
Antonio Museum of Art
|
|
Architect:
Overland Partners, Inc.
|
The
Leonora and Walter F. Brown Asian Art Wing is a two
story addition located on top of the west wing of the
museum with renovations in the existing west wing.
Envisioned as a striking contrast to the masonry
structures of the former Lone Star brewery complex, the
design for the new wing is influenced by the glass Sky
Bridge, elevators, and stair towers that are part of
previous additions. |

Mayan
14 Palace Theater
|
|
Architect:
Hodges & Associates
|
The
Santikos Mayan Theater was the inspiration of
entrepreneur John L. Santikos.
The theater building incorporates an authentic
design theme to recreate the architectural style from
the Mayan culture with materials such as limestone
structures faced with stucco. On the northwest
corner of the building a looming tower displays a great
flame, which is symbolic of the flamed torches found in
ancient
Royal
Temples
and
Mayan
Palaces

| Six
Flags Fiesta Texas Additions |
| |
The
additions to the Six Flags Fiesta Texas Park were
“Fast Track” jobs that had to meet the park’s
early opening day schedules.
Browning worked closely with the Architect and
Owner as a team, sharing ideas and making design
changes, additions and improvements to the various
facilities as work progressed.
The
“Fiesta Bay” Boardwalk portion of the project
provided buildings for food and games, a 90 foot Ferris
wheel and a paddle boat lake. |
